WINDOWS XP INTERNET SETUP
Setting
STI As the Home Page
- At
the top of Internet Explorer, click on Tools.
- Click
on Internet Options.
- Type
www.sti.net in the Address field.
- Click
on OK.
- Click
on the Start button.
- Click
on Run.
- Type
inetwiz and click on OK.
- Click
Next.
- Type
the phone number you use to connect to STI.

Reminder: Before dialing
local telephone numbers with your modem to
connect to the Internet, contact your telephone
provider to assure they are TOLL FREE numbers
in your area. STI is not responsible for toll
charges.
- Remove
the check mark for "Dial using the area
code and country code" and click Next.
- Type
your username (the first part of your email
address) and password, then click Next.
- You
make keep the suggested connection name, or
change it, then click Next.
- Click
Next to begin setting up your STI email address.
- The
display name is what other people see when
you send email. Type your name as you would
like it to appear, then click Next.
- Type
your full email address (for example: name@sti.net)
using all small letters and no spaces, then
click Next.
- Type
in the mail server names as shown above. The
incoming is mail.sti.net and the outgoing
is smtp.sti.net (use all small letters).
Click Next.
- Your
account name will already be filled in. Type
your password in the password field, then
click Next.
- Click
Finish.
